The Presidency Digital Transformation Office of Turkey has published the "Information and Communication Security Guide" on July 24, 2020, in line with the Presidential Circular No. 2019/12, which outlines the measures that public institutions and critical infrastructure service providers must comply with regarding information and communication security.
What is the Compliance Process under the Information and Communication Security Guidelines?
The aim of the circular is to increase the level of information security throughout the country by reducing and neutralizing security risks in information systems and ensuring the security of critical data, which, if compromised, could threaten national security or disrupt public order.

The Information and Communication Security Guide is applicable to government agencies, institutions, and organizations with an IT department or those who receive IT services from third-party contractors, as well as critical infrastructure service providers. The circular covers all sectors, including Electronic Communication, Energy, Water Management, Transportation, Banking and Finance, and Healthcare.

Scope of the Guide
It includes institutions and organizations within the state organization and businesses that provide critical infrastructure services, which have an IT unit or receive data processing services from third parties within the framework of contracts.
